This was an excellent experience for Irish Deer Society members with Simone Cuiti (UCD) and his team at the annual fawn tagging event in the Phoenix Park. The event is run in conjunction with the OPW and UCD and is designed to provide members of the public with information on the history of the Fallow herd within the park, why the tagging is essential and how it aids in ensuring correct herd management.

It is a great experience for the general public to see the dedication and expertise put into caring for the deer in the park. This has now become an annual event for the Irish Deer Society (members only) and is always a memorable and informative event as Simone is a wealth of knowledge and passionate about his work.
